Registration Statuses

• Practicing: This registrant is currently registered and licensed as a Manitoba LPN.
• Itinerant Practice: This registrant is authorized to practice in Manitoba, subject to terms and conditions, while they continue to hold registration in another Canadian jurisdiction that is the home base for their practice.
• Temporary Practice: This registrant is authorized to practice in Manitoba for a limited period of time, subject to terms and conditions, while they continue to hold registration in another Canadian jurisdiction that is the home base for their practice.
• Virtual Practice: This registrant is authorized to provide practical nursing services to clients located in Manitoba by virtual means, subject to terms and conditions, and as long as the registrant is located in another Canadian jurisdiction where they hold registration.
• Graduate Practical Nurse: This registrant must only practice under the supervision of another regulated nurse (RN/LPN/RPN).
• Student Practical Nurse: This registrant is enrolled in an approved practical nursing education or gap training program. They may engage in practical nursing practice only as part of the program and while under the supervision of another regulated nurse (RN/LPN/RPN).
• Inactive: This is a former registrant who is not currently authorized to practice.
• Suspended: This registrant is not currently authorized to practice.
